Each time I sync my iPad with my Mac, I get two messages telling me that the sync failed because Tap Forms couldn’t connect to the server. Meanwhile, the sync has already completed successfully. I’ve looked at the library folder suggested earlier, but the path is a dead end. And I can’t find the Reset Sync function.
How do I get rid of this message?

Are you talking about version 5 or version 3/4?

There’s no Reset Sync function in Tap Forms 5.

If you’re using nearby sync then make sure you have the latest versions of Tap Forms 5 and I would suggest closing all the documents, waiting 20 seconds or so and opening them up again.

I guess I wasn’t paying attention to which version of Tap Forms was the subject of the post I tried to follow. I’m using version 5 and am up to date on both my iPad and computer. I had already tried closing documents and then re-opening them. It is that this message repeats every time I sync: the sync works but Tap Forms thinks it hasn’t connected with the server when it has. I’m doing a bit of work using Tap Forms now and will try and sync when I’m done and see if it happens again.

    Hi Daniel,

Are you using Cloudant or Nearby sync?

Of course, now that I’ve asked the question the problem seems to have solved itself. At least, the last time (just now) I made some changes on my computer version, the iPad updated with no issue. I’m using Nearby sync.

At worst, it seemed to be a timing issue, with the computer version thinking it wasn’t connecting even as it already had and accomplished the updating. I’ll let you know if it comes back.
