Sandee CohenParticipantI’ve been messing about with TapForms but I screwed up several things along the way.
For instance, I completely obliterated the English language samples. I’ve been able to look at the French ones, but I don’t really understand them.
I’ve got forms that won’t show up on my iPhone and others that won’t show up on my Mac. And others that won’t sync with the other device.
What I want to do is wipe TapForms off both the Mac and the iPhone, and then reinstall for fresh factory settings. I don’t care if I lose data.
Is there somewhere I can read the instructions for doing this?

BrendanKeymasterHi Sandee,
You can download the default Sample Forms document from here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/z2vddszqvrnswlh/Sample%20Forms.tapforms.zip?dl=0
They’re also available in the Template Exchange forum.
You shouldn’t need to erase and reinstall Tap Forms. You can always create a new database document and start from scratch that way.
Thanks!

Sandee CohenParticipantI shouldn’t have to but nevertheless I would like to start from scratch. Is there a way to do it?

BrendanKeymasterHi Sandee,
Sure.
If you delete this folder on your Mac, then launch Tap Forms, it will be like a fresh install:
~/Library/Containers/com.tapzapp.tapforms-mac
To get there:
1. Copy the above path.
2. In the Finder, press command-shift-g or click on the Go menu and select Go to Folder…
3. Paste the above path into the field.
4. Press the Go button.
5. Now, delete that com.tapzapp.tapforms-mac folder.
6. Launch the Terminal application.
7. Copy and paste this command into the Terminal window:defaults delete com.tapzapp.tapforms-mac
8. Launch Tap Forms Mac.
You should now be back at the beginning as if it was installed fresh.
You could also delete and re-install Tap Forms itself if you like. Just throw it into the trash and empty the trash, then download it again from wherever you bought it from. If from the Mac App Store, go back there to install it again. If direct from my website, you can download the latest update from here:
https://vendors.paddle.com/download/product/503174
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks!
Brendan
