Reading PDFs on an iPhone

Hi. I regularly attach a PDF file into a field on an Tap Forms database. They all display OK on my iPad, using the ‘View File’ option.

However, they sometimes fail to display on my iPhone.

I have no idea why this is. Any suggestions please?

Hi Mick,

I’m not seeing an issue with the View File option on the iPhone when viewing a PDF file. Does it happen randomly or is it a particular PDF file that won’t display? Tap Forms just uses the system’s built-in QuickLook system for viewing PDF files. But maybe it’s a filename issue? Do you have issues with certainly named files? Maybe files with a / in the filename?

Check if the PDFs that aren’t displaying on your iPhone are particularly large or have any unusual formatting. Sometimes large files or those with complex elements can cause issues.
