EddyParticipantHi Brendan!
I am using tapforms as an invoice-system.
So I have a custom layout to print my invoices (and to “print” PDFs).
On the custom layout there are some tables as graphic elements.
The text fields are positioned to the right place, so that they fit.
In the tapforms custom-layout window erverything is correctly positioned.
About half a year ago the print-outs and PDFs where still always fine.
The print-outs were exactly WYSIWYG to the tapforms custom layout window.
I did not change my hardware nore my MacOs (Monterey). Now, the text field alignment is not exactly fitting any more.
Although in the tapforms custom layout window everything is fitting, on the print-outs the text-fields are slightly moved. It’s not massive, but it looks ugly and unprofessional on an invoice. For the moment, the workaroud is to position the text fields new, so that they fit.
But this is a little bit annoying, because it is a timefull “try-and-error” method, as the displayed position in the tapforms window ist not exactly the same as in the print-out or the created PDF.Any hints?
Regards and thanks in advance,
Eddy.
PS: One more question: There is that button “design for screen/printer”. If i click on “printer”, tapforms always fill the pop-up fields below with an old printer, i do not want to use any more and is choosing a wrong paper size. How can I choose the new printer and the correct paper size and save that a the general preference?

BrendanKeymasterHi Eddy,
Can you please email me your form template so I can look into it?
And which version of Tap Forms are you using?
Are you overlaying your fields on top of an embedded PDF file?
When you select a printer and paper size, Tap Forms should remember which printer you used to design your layout.
If you have printers you’re no longer using, I would suggest removing it from the Printers settings in the System Preferences app.
Thanks,
Brendan
