I was curious as to why on both ipad and mac when I compacted my database it grew.
On my ipad it went from 800mb to over 1 gig
On my mac just tonight it went from 600 mb to 1.2 gb
Kinda weird for a compacting function?
Yes, that’s right. Because during the compact function it actually writes to a log file that makes the calculation of the .tapforms folder size larger than before. But it’s just temporary.
As soon as you close and re-open the document it will show it’s most compact size.
