    Hi Brendan,

Can you provide a better example of the “add values” button in the “edit pick lists” pref?

Something I want to do, but I’m not sure if this is the place to do it.

    Thanks

    Hi James,

All that is is a place where you can type in a bunch of values into the field and then save them all in one go. If you happened to have a list of values already on the clipboard (one value per line) then you could just past them in there. When you save it will create a separate Pick List Value for each entry.

You can also add entries individually right from the Pick List select value popover when editing a record. Just type in your value and click the + button next to the field.

    Thanks!

“Add options” or “Add choices” might be a more user friendly label, if not the technically accurate one.

I think had I called Pick Lists “Choice Lists”, then yes, “Add Choices…” would make more sense. Could be confusing to people that know what Add Values does now if I were to change it.

True but like many things, you can go round and round about it. People who already know what Add values means would be confused but still tap/click the new button, finding it’s the same.

Change is good. Change is bad. Doesn’t matter to me. I just tap everything to figure out what it does.

That’s a good strategy. That’s how I learn how to use any app. Just tap or click on everything and eventually you learn how the app works.
