wrong format in excel

    When I email a form and data and then open that file in excel some of the text written as 12-1 for example will import into excel at Dec-1. When I try to change the format of the cell in excel to text it changes to the numeric value of that date. Any suggestions?

    I just figured out a way around it. I saved the email attachment as a CSV. I then opened that CSV in wordpad. I copied all of the text in the wordpad document and pasted into Excel. I then used the Excel text import wizard to get change the column formats. It isn’t too painfull. I would still be interested in another option.

    Hi,

    Have you tried changing the Tap Forms Date Export Format? Different date formats might work better for you in Excel.

    You can change that in the Import & Export Settings screen in Tap Forms.
