jim MeyerParticipantFirst, a little decompression: I am a school teacher who purchased Tap Forms at the end of the school year and found it to be just what I needed to track 150+ students and their personal/academic/family details. After paying for the mac and iOS versions and learning to use them I was looking forward to setting up my database for the new year only to find that there is a major upgrade – at a significant cost. A little heads up to hold off on purchasing a version that was about to become deprecated would have been nice. I really can’t afford to purchase this twice – but I’m considering it because of the struggles I’ve had with syncing between devices.
TLDR; Paid what I couldn’t afford – look away for a month, asked to pay an equally unaffordable amount.
The problem I’m having now is that I can’t get the mac upgrade to work. I choose upgrade to version 5 from the Tap Forms menu and am taken to the app store only to be told the item I’m looking for doesn’t exist. I’m running ver.3.5.15. I’ve tried to upgrade to 3.5.16 only to get a different app called Tap Forms Mac that, when opened checks for a license, finds it, and then closes. It never even shows up in the dock or menu bar.
Here is a gif of the upgrade process:

jim MeyerParticipantI failed to explicitly mention that I’m hoping to upgrade to the latest versions at the lowest additional cost.
I have the App Store version of Tap Forms 3.5.15 on my Mac. I can’t follow the directions in the upgrade FAQ because the only direct download version available is 3.5.16 and as I said it isn’t working.
There is no apparent way to get an upgrade price of the iOS version, No bundle, no discount, no sale.
Any advice would be appreciated.

BrendanKeymasterHi Jim,
Email me your iTunes Receipt for the Mac version.
I’ve submitted an “upgrade bundle” to Apple, but they haven’t even reviewed it yet and it’s been over a week now. No idea why. Maybe they won’t let me do that.
But for the Mac version I can give you a coupon to get the current customer discount.

Enrique MendezParticipantBrendan,
I am having the same problem. I have version 3.5.15 installed which I bought from the Mac App Store, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get the discounted price for an upgrade. If I send you proof of my Mac App Store purchase of the previous version of Tap Forms, would you be kind enough to send me a current customer coupon as well? If there is another way to get the upgrade pricing just let me know but I can’t figure out the current instructions in the forum and they refer to direct download version 3.5.15 which is no longer available in your website. Sorry if am missing something. I love your product and I think it is worth every penny but unfortunately many of us use TapForms for work even though our companies/schools don’t pay for it and won’t reimburse us for it so we desperately need the more affordable option.
Thank you for your assistance
