I’ve been setting up my form for the new school year on my OS X device (High Sierra updated) using Tap Forms 5.2.1.
I’m trying to share this form with my iPad (IOS 11.0.2) with the latest Tap Forms- so I can sync using cloudant. The sync seems to work between my OS X device and cloudant.
On my OS X device, I select my form, click the share icon on the splash screen, my iPad appears, I click it an share, the approval button appears on my iPad, I click accpet, the transfer begins, and appears to finish (349 kb out of 349 kb), and then …. it just hangs. The only way for me to dismiss any of the screens is to force quit Tap Forms on the OS X device. This happens with my form or even with the Sample Forms.tapforms (that’s the 349 out of 349 I mentioned).
Any ideas why? or how to fix? Anyone seen this before?
I’ve got a fix for this coming. I’ve switched to using AirDrop instead of the custom solution I have now. It actually transfers files much quicker than the Multipeer Connectivity framework that I was using before.
In the meantime, use another way to get your file across. I recommend using iTunes File Sharing to copy the .tapforms document from your Mac to your iPad.
