    How is the tab order of fields set in a custom layout?

    Hi Ron,

    Click on the –>| button in the toolbar while in Layout Edit mode to show all the tab orders. You’ll see a bunch of buttons with 0 in them. Click on each button, type in a number, then press the return key. Make sure all fields have a number r greater than 0. Then turn off Layout Edit mode. Then when you tab through fields it’ll travel in the order of the numbers. From a Note field, press control-tab to tab out of it.
