Glen ForisterParticipantIs there a quick way to see all my Forms in the “My Forms” list on the left side list?
I can expand each group or category to see the Forms in that category, but can I expand all the categories at once without a lot of work? Sometimes I’m looking for a Form, but don’t remember which category or group I put it in. So, it would be nice to quickly scan the total list of Forms. Also, is there a way to search for a Form? I see the SEARCH in the upper right window does not search the Form names, but the words inside the records of the Forms.
Thanks.

BrendanKeymasterHi Glen,
On the sidebar on the left where all the forms are listed, there’s a Find Form function at the bottom of that list. Just type in the form name you’re looking for and press return. If it’s within a category, that category will be expanded and the form selected if found.
Thanks,
Brendan

Glen ForisterParticipantI forgot about that little box. Thanks.
Anyway to do that on the iPhone? I see the search for records, but not the form.

Ronald KroekerParticipantGlen,
I am quite new at using Tapforms and use it on IOS devices exclusively currently, so please defer any expectations of someone responding with an extensive background. I have been building quite a few forms to test flow/architecture for my little projects and have noticed that I find it useful to use the Hide feature Brendan has build into on each form while in “Customize Form”. Generally, I will keep the starting(Top) form of a hierarchy on my form list as “un-hidden” and sub-classes hidden. The view can be switch easily with the little arrow button to the right of the “Add form” Button that Mr Brendan so subtlety designed. I am not completely sure this will help you, but if it does then I am happy to share. If it is of no value then “no harm, no foul” and I am sure someone with more extensive experience will assist.Attachments:

BrendanKeymasterHi Glen,
No, sorry there’s no Form Search function on iOS.
Maybe if you have too many forms, you could export some of them as a Tap Forms Archive (.tfarc) file and import them into a new document. Then you can keep some forms together in one document that are related in some way to each other and others in a separate document.
Thanks,
Brendan

Glen ForisterParticipantRonald, thanks for the hints. If I understand you right, you have made a work-a-round for something Brendan has already created.
In the Mac, under the top menu Select “Tap Forms Mac 5″/ Settings
On the right top, select “Lists”
Then select “Categories” on the left.
This creates headings you can organize various Forms under. Is this what you are creating? If so, I’m using the Categories to great effect and would be lost without them.
Otherwise, I guess I’m lost.
Thanks. -
