Scroll bar in text field in layout

I have a text field in a layout, fairly lengthy pieces of text showing in it but no scrollbar. I can only scroll down using cursor keys. I’m also finding that swipe scroll (macbook pro touchpad) doesn’t work either, maybe to do with no scrollbar?
Can I get a scrollbar and some swipe scroll love?

Hi Kim,

It should work fine with the trackpad. Perhaps you’re in layout edit mode? Just put the cursor over the Note field and then scroll. Is it a Note field you’re using? If not, then regular Text fields don’t have scrollbars and you’ll need to change the field to be a Note field and then remove and re-add the Note object on your custom layout.
