Hi Brendan
I find it frustrating having to close the notes field (red button), and then answer the question “Do you want to save?”. Could you create an icon (preferably next to the 3 buttons in the top left corner) to save the changes and close the window in one click?

Sorry intruding myself here but perhaps this can help you feel a little less frustrated.
If you have your right hand on the mouse and left hand on the keyboard, doing the following:
1. Pressing COMMAND-S, (Saves the Note field) and then
2. Pressing COMMAND-W (Closes the Note field)
This is the method I use everyday:
1. I do not have to move the right hand and mouse
2. I press the COMMAND key with my thumb
3. Then I press S and W in sequence with my index finger
And the W, on the keyboard, is just above the S, so this is really fast.

Jose – thanks for the suggestion. That would certainly help. However, I would still prefer to be able to close and save the note with a single action, if possible.
I usually press command-w first, then press the Return key when prompted because Save is the default. It’s very fast to do it that way.
