Hello,
I encounter a problem in the layout designer section, the section for printing form’s fields and other graphic elements.
To be more precise, they are relationships fields that give me problems: when I drag and I drop a relationships field, the amount that is displayed on the screen is correct, but when I print or generate a pdf it’s always the same amount that is displayed.
Here is a short screencast to illustrate my problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0vi81ny1p2bjh5a/tapforms-bug.mp4?dl=0
Should I consider this a bug?
Thank you,
Lorenzo
Hi Lorenzo,
Can you please email me a copy of your form template so that I can reproduce this bug with your template?
Thanks,
Brendan
Hello Brendan,
should I send you just the form template that causing problem or do I have to send you the other form templates since other fields are connected each to other?
Thank you,
Lorenzo
If you send me your parent form template, it should include the child form templates too.
…you are right ;)
I’ve attached a form template copy.
Thank you,
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,
Ok, I’m investigating this issue now.
Thanks,
Brendan
I think the issue is that you have different Link to Form fields all pointing to the same form. That’s what’s causing the problem.
I’m still investigating a fix for this. But it might take me a couple of days to fix it. It affects the Default Layout too.
Hello Brendan,
is it a conceptual error on my part?
What do you mean by “It affects the Default Layout too.”?
Can you keep me informed when the problem will be solved?
Thank you again,
Lorenzo
I’ve fixed it now for the Tap Forms 5.3 release which will be available when Mojave ships.
If you’d like to beta test it, send me your email address to support@tapforms.com
What I mean by the Default Layout is when you switch to the Default Layout and try to print there, it’s also not printing the proper fields.
It wasn’t your fault. It was my bug.
…send it, thank you very much!
Lorenzo
