Jon CageParticipantAnyone else having the issue of intermittent problems of pick lists not working on iPad and iPhone?….working fine on Mac version

BrendanKeymasterHi Jon,
What happens? Is it that they don’t popup or is it that after you tap on a value, the popover doesn’t close?
Thanks,
Brendan

Jon CageParticipantThey don’t pop up….sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t…does not appear to be any pattern to it. Thanks.
btw….went to a CPA seminar in Raleigh last week and told everyone there about Tap Forms…hope some of them buy it!October 24, 2014 at 7:54 PM #11338
BrendanKeymasterHello Jon,
Thanks for spreading the word!
I wonder if it’s just a matter of missing the pick list buttons sometimes? Perhaps the area around the pick list button isn’t wide enough. I’ll look into that.
Thanks,
Brendan

Jon CageParticipantDoing more testing. Seems to be an iPad issue. The first pick list in a record comes up but the ones below it do not. When I touch the pick list icon I usually get an image that says “copy” but it is located in the record area. Strange

BrendanKeymasterHi Jon,
The copy button comes up when you use a long-press gesture.
If you email me your form template I can see if I can reproduce the bug.
Thanks,
Brendan

BrendanKeymasterJon, is it the iPad or iPhone you’re having this problem with?
October 28, 2014 at 9:06 PM #11473
Jon CageParticipantJust the iPad …….I have 3rd gen w iOS 8 w all recent updates
October 28, 2014 at 10:10 PM #11475
BrendanKeymasterOk, I seem to be able to reproduce it, not on your form, but on one of my forms. In fact, it’s the Expenses form I ship with Tap Forms. And it’s not only the pick list that is unresponsive, it’s the entire row. And in my case right now, it’s not only that one row, but the row beneath it too.
I’m investigating still…
Thanks,
Brendan

bvisionParticipantAny update on this issue?
December 25, 2014 at 12:38 AM #12471
BrendanKeymaster3.9.2 should have fixed this issue. Do you have the update?

tonytParticipantHi Brendan
I too have this problem on an iPod Touch, 9 times out of 10 when I press the pick list icon I get the keyboard rather than the drop down list!
Cheers

BrendanKeymasterHi Tony,
Hmm… So then it’s an issue with the tap zone on the pick list? If you dismiss the keyboard and try to be more precise with the pick list button, does it come up then? Or is it just that the pick list button is not functioning at all?
Thanks,
Brendan

tonytParticipantHi Brendan
Seems to be the area around the pick list button. If I am really careful and hit it dead centre 9 out of 1o works OK, Even slightly off and its back to the keyboard!
Cheers

BrendanKeymasterHi Tony,
Thanks for the clarification.
