BrendanKeymasterHello Jean-Marie,
Does this happen after you enter your encryption key in?
Is this for the Mac version?

Jean-Marie BellecParticipantHello Brendan,
Yes, it happens just when I enter my encryption key, on my iMac.
On my MacBook Air there is no problem…
If I join the Apple report, will be useful ?

LeoParticipantI had this too.
You can try this:
>>> A possible solution by Brendan
It sounds like perhaps the defaults database stopped being written to or was empty. A simple reboot may have fixed it for you. I’ve seen occasionally where some customers defaults database is empty.
You can find out if you have any values in the defaults database for Tap Forms by entering in this command into the Terminal application’s window:
defaults read com.tapforms.mac
If it prints anything out then it should be ok. If not, then rebooting can fix that.
When you choose a different view to display, Tap Forms writes that setting to your defaults database. The data for the defaults eventually gets stored in a Preferences file for Tap Forms.
Or perhaps the preferences file became corrupted somehow.
You can also try:
defaults delete com.tapforms.mac
To delete all the preferences. Then launch Tap Forms again and it should start from scratch creating preferences.
The crash report told me that you were fetching data for the records list view. It didn’t say which view though.
<<< end
If the problem exist then do above again and go further with:
Delete Tapforms with Appcleaner and reinstall it. Then turn syncing on or restore a backup. Reset syncing on all devices and turn everything on one by one. (you loose all settings with this)
Do you remember where TF crashed the first time? Probably with a saved filter? In that case delete the saved filter on a iOS device, NOT on the MAC!

Jean-Marie BellecParticipantHi everybody !
Thanks Leo for your answer, but Brendan answered to me before and his solution works well, so I copy it here:
Go to the Terminal and…
type: defaults delete com.tapforms.mac
press: Return key
type: defaults write com.tapforms.mac “selected-outline-form-id” “-favourites-”
press: Return key
Then re-launch Tap Forms and it won’t crash after you enter the encryption key. Make sure that you have a form selected before you exit Tap Forms. That’s what will trigger the crash.

BrendanKeymasterVersion 3.0.3 is out now, so let me know if that fixes this issue for you.
Thanks,
Brendan
