I shared my document from one iPhone to the other. I have them both open. How do I do nearby sync? When on the forms list page, if I tap on Tools, I see the beam icon at the top. When I tap on that for both phones, they sit there “waiting for connection…”.

    1. Is this how to do Nearby sync?
    2. Is there a setting on my phone that is blocking this from happening, that I need to turn on?

Nearby Sync is setup on the Sync Settings screen. So tap on that on the Tools screen and then tap on the WiFi icon. Then tap the + button to add another device to your list of Registered Devices. Do that on both devices you want to sync together.

You also need to enable the Local Network option in the Privacy screen of the Settings app on your iOS devices.

Ok. Network is turned on for both phones.

I can see that it is syncing but only from phone A to phone B. But it’s not from B to A. Maybe because B has lockdown mode turned on?

And the WiFi icon on A is grayed out.

You have to be on the exact same WiFi network for sync to work. And Phone A must have Phone B listed on the Sync Settings screen AND Phone B must have Phone A listed. With green dots. You can try removing and re-adding the devices from the Sync Settings screens to see if that fixes it.
