Dirk SoenenParticipantMy databases are via iCloud synced from my IMAC to iPhone and iPad. Sometimes I have for some images the message ‘Image missing in database ; remove missing link ?
I these cases I can see the thumbnails but when clicking I get this message. replacing the images on my IMAC and resending does not solve the problem.
Any idea ?December 19, 2022 at 2:24 PM #48499
BrendanKeymasterhi Dirk,
Try renaming the image and re-adding it from the Mac and that should cause that image to sync again.
Sorry for the trouble. I’m working on a new sync system which should resolve these kinds of issues.
Thanks,
Brendan

john cestaParticipantYea, I can’t continue to use tapform, and I love it, until this problem gets fixed. It doesn’t do me any good to save important images of documents if the are going to disappear sometime.
I just took a pick on my phone and it saved but now it’s gone on all devices.

john cestaParticipantI took a few pics with my camera on the iphone. They never did sync to the mac air. The place holders are there and the image names but no image.
I added an image on the iphone and it copied to the mac air. But when I added a pic from the air it didn’t sync to the iphone.

MattapperParticipantHello,
i have still the same problem Dirk stated in 2022. I have a form synced with iCloud between my iMac and my iPhone ans some images are missing on the iPhone.
What i tried:
– creating a new entry
– renaming die image
but the image will not sync.Even more, if i put one of the “missing images” in an entry that has images that are synced correctly, then the correct image will also disappear on the iPhone. When i then delete the “missing image” on the iMac, the “correct image” will reappear on the iPhone.
The only thing that worked for me until now is:
– exporting the images on iMac
– delete images on iMac in Tap Forms
– sync images to iPhone via Apple Fotos App
– add images on iPhone in Tap FormsHas anyone discovered a shorter solution?

BrendanKeymasterOne other option would be to export your form as a Tap Forms Archive file, then re-import the Tap Forms Archive file into your iPhone. That would ensure all the images were there.
Or delete the document from the iPhone, then re-send it over from the Mac to the iPhone using the Send Document function.

MattapperParticipantHi Brendan,
thank you very much for the tips. I’ll try this next time running into problems.Thank you also for the support and the great app – Tap Forms is one of the few apps i use since my first iPhone days (which started 15 years ago :))
