1. Adding New Pick List Values
When filling a field with a Pick List value , in MCLV we can only select values from the popover.
If we want to add a new Pick List value we can do that:
A. On the Tools/Edit Pick Lists menu , and everything works fine done this way.
B. On a Layout.
Done this way the new value is added to the Pick List.
Selecting the new value for another record works fine on the Layout.
But selecting the new value on the MCLV doesn’t work, because the new value does not show up in the popover. It seems the List on the MCLV is not updated with the new value.
2. Updating a Pick List value on the Edit Pick Lists Screen.
I was expecting that changing the name of a Pick List Value would change that name too in all fields with that value.
But this does not happen.
This means that:
A. Old values are kept in the fields with this Pick List.
B. The updated value is available in the Pick List.
C. The old value is no longer in the Pick List.
It seems to me that the expected behaviour would be:
– When updating a value in a Pick List, that value should be updated too in all fields having that Pick List in the Database.
– When deleting a value from the Pick List, fields having that value should keep the value (this seems to be working fine).

I’ll investigate 1.
But for 2, that’s just how Pick Lists work. It’s a copy of the value that is put into the field. There’s no relationship to the Pick List value once you’ve selected it.
