HeyjebboParticipantHi Brendan,
I’ve got a ~450MB database backup on TapForms for iPhone. I’m able to restore this backup onto 2 different iPhones, so it seems to be fine. When I attempt to restore it to TapForms for Mac, TapForms consistently crashes. The database is the only one in TapForms, and consists mostly of (~2500) photos.
Looking at Console, I see the following on each crash:
11/24/12 1:12:45.473 PM Tap Forms[4113]: TFSyncEngine initializing…
11/24/12 1:12:45.473 PM Tap Forms[4113]: (null)
11/24/12 1:12:45.474 PM Tap Forms[4113]: An uncaught exception was raised
11/24/12 1:12:45.474 PM Tap Forms[4113]: *** -[NSURL initFileURLWithPath:]: nil string parameter
(the db.sqlite is ~53MB).
Any suggestions for how to proceed? I’d recreate the form in Mac and export/import the records, but the records are mostly photos that (as I recall) would not get exported.
Many Thanks,

BrendanKeymasterHmm… this is odd. And I’m assuming you did in fact select a file? If you could send the full .crash file to me at support @ tapforms.com then I can find out exactly what Tap Forms was doing when it crashed.

HeyjebboParticipantWhere would I find the .crash file? (None is showing up in my Spotlight.)

BrendanKeymasterWhen the crash report window appears, just copy all the text in there and email the whole thing to me.
Thanks,
Brendan

HeyjebboParticipantI went into TapForms and selected the file to restore from, and this (~6th?) time it restored without issue. Several reboots and some Apple updates in the interim, so not sure what the difference is.
Either way, no issues any more.
Thanks for your help,

BrendanKeymasterThat’s good news Jeff. Thanks for the update.
