Newbie question (apologies if it has been answered elsewhere): is there any way to count the characters of a Text field, and display it? Maybe using a Calculation field? I have a field that I would like to limit to a maximum amount of characters.

No, I’m sorry but I don’t have a function for counting the number of characters.
The only place I show something similar to that is a word count on the Note field edit window that pops up when you click a Note button on the Default Layout on the Mac version.
No problem – I can appreciate it’s probably not something there’s a huge demand for.
But I’ll have a look at the Note field edit window. That might do the trick!
