If I have calculated fields in, let’s say Apples Numbers or Excel, can I export a .csv and then import the calculation values into Tap Forms. If so, would this work in the iOS version as well.

    Hi Lawrence,

Yes it would. Calculation fields are just stored the same as Number fields. The values are just updated as you change the fields that are involved in the formula for that Calculation field.

I tried it and I get the results but the formulas are not imported. How do I get the formulas to import.

A CSV file cannot contain formulas that Tap Forms could interpret. You’ll have to recreate them in Tap Forms.

OK. Thanks. That will take too much time.

How many Calculation fields do you have in your form? You only have to set the formula on a Calculation field once and as you edit values in your records for the fields that are part of your formula, it will update the Calculation field value by evaluating the formula.

I have and will have many calculations to do.

I am dyslexic. The x/y axes of spreadsheets are very hard to track. I use databases to make various calculators. I need to arrange fields relative to their use rather than their relationship to a grid. It is not a single project but a workflow i am trying to develop.
