Eric BouveParticipantHello
I have a IMAC, an IPAD and an Iphone,
A few months ago, I’d imported my Bento database with IMAC.
The sync was OK, and I found my database on my Ipad,
Then I replaced all my Photos with the IPAD (around 1400 photos), taking a new photo with better definition.Next month, I try to change with dropbox. I sync Imac with dropbox,
When I sync my IPAD, the oldest photos reappeared on my IPAD.I saved my database (the good with new photos).
Each time I try to enable sync on my IMAC (iCloud or Dropbox), I found the old photos.
If I restore the database, the new photos are there,
How can I do to sync the good base, with new photos ?

BrendanKeymasterHi Eric,
I think the issue is that Tap Forms does not delete the photos when you enable sync, it merely copies them to the cloud. So then if the sync is turned off by doing a reset or if it just happens to be turned off, Tap Forms will copy those same photos again the next time you enable sync.
So start with your good backup, then restore to all your devices, then re-enable sync on each device. You should be good to go after that since it will copy the good photos up to the cloud after that.
Thanks,
Brendan

Eric BouveParticipantHi Brendan,
It doesn’t work.
I restore IMCC
With Itunes, I put the TF ….zip on the Tapforms Apps of the IPAD
I restore IPAD withe this file, the good database OKI try with the same operation with IHONE (4S 8,3) but restore don’t work. I delete Tapforms and forget Iphone for the moment.
So, I turn on ICLOUD sync with the IMAC and IPAD, a few seconds later OLD PHOTOS appears :-(
I lost a lot of time with this problem.
My experience with database apps is horrible : I began with ISORT, a french database apps, very good apps, but about one year after I began with it, the creator disappear without information !
So I take Bento, you know the surprise when they stop development.
I begin with Tapforms one year ago, and I lose again my time with problems.
Who said to me Apple is a easy to use system, if I find him, I hope he run faster than me !September 23, 2015 at 10:55 AM #14686
Eric BouveParticipantHi,
no solution for me ?I try recover IPAD and IMAC with the good recovery file, and delete ICLOUD memory of tapforms (Share / Photos) before sync. Old photos return immediately !!!!
HELP

BrendanKeymasterHi Eric,
When you say you “Delete iCloud memory of Tap Forms”, do you mean you used the Delete Documents & Data function? If not, then try that to see if it works for you. If iCloud has no files for Tap Forms and your backups are good and contain the new files, I don’t see why it would show you the old photos in Tap Forms after you enable sync. It should be using the new photos from the backup.
Maybe try the Delete Documents & Data function on each device just to make sure.
Also, give that some time to finish. Maybe let it sit for 1/2 an hour or so just so iCloud has time to complete the deletion.
See attached file for the Delete Documents & Data function.

Eric BouveParticipantHi Brendam,
Finally this solution was the good one. Thanks for your help.
Little question (IPAD): is it normal that the label (little photo) (the one in the right form, not the one in the left list of records) is turn in landscape mode all the time, even when the photo is made in the portrait mode, the one we see when we touch to enlarge is in the good mode ?September 25, 2015 at 4:23 PM #14714
BrendanKeymasterHi Eric,
You have control over how that photo is displayed. Just set the Preview Mode option to be what makes sense for the photos in that field. You can choose from a bunch of different transformations, such as Scale to Fill, Aspect Fill, Aspect Fit, etc.
Thanks!
Brendan
