Iván BenítezParticipantHi Brendan,
I have always enable sync when I open the app on my Mac mini (dropbox on Yosemite). If I close the app, after opening it is always off. Any idea?
Thank you.

BrendanKeymasterCan you launch the Terminal application after you quit and then type in the following command:
defaults read com.tapforms.mac cloud-service
and also
defaults read com.tapforms.mac icloud-enabled
Does it remember the values after you quit?
This is something I’m going to fix for the next update though.
Thanks,
Brendan

Iván BenítezParticipantThis is what I got:
Last login: Fri Jul 31 10:04:13 on console
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac cloud-service
dropbox
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac icloud-enabled
1
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$I hope it helps. Thank you.

BrendanKeymasterHi Ivan,
That tells me that the setting is still turned on.
So then after you launch Tap Forms, can you do the same commands to see what they say?
Thanks,
Brendan

Iván BenítezParticipantHi Brendan,
When I launch Tap Forms:
Last login: Mon Aug 3 10:16:07 on console
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac cloud-service
dropbox
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac icloud-enabled
0When I turn on the sync:
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac cloud-service
dropbox
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac icloud-enabled
1When I close Tap Forms:
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac cloud-service
dropbox
Mac-mini-de-Marcos:~ Ivan$ defaults read com.tapforms.mac icloud-enabled
1On my Mac at home works fine, but not this Mac mini at the office.

BrendanKeymasterHi Ivan,
It’s something I should have fixed for the next update. Right now it will turn off sync if Tap Forms receives a list of all the devices that are registered and the current device is not among the list of registered devices. I think iCloud and/or Dropbox may be sending it an empty list at some point. I’ll change it so it never gets turned off unless you explicitly turn it off. I did this so that if you Reset Sync on one device, sync will be turned off on all devices. But I think this is a side effect of this behaviour.
Thanks,
Brendan
