How long does a local sync take?

I was hoping to use this software for a project I’m working on…

I have a project/form sent from my Mac to an iPad. I’m making changes (checking a checkmark field) and it does not update in either direction–from the iPad to Mac or vice versa. I setup local sharing in the preference pane and know the 2 can “talk” since I was able to successfully send the file to the iPad in the first place. Is there something else I need to do or does the syncing take longer than a few seconds?

Did you add each device to the devices list in the Nearby sync settings so that each device has a green for next to it?

Yes I did it on one of the devices, I can’t remember which one for sure at this moment, so I will double-check and try again. But assuming that is not the issue, I should see updates between devices right away, right?

You need to do it on both devices or you’ll only get a one way sync.

That was it, Thanks! I didn’t realize you had to do that on the iPad as well.
