mm mayParticipantHi.
I am creating a form to track student collections for a fund raiser.
so far i have it set up like this (below). you can see i have a subtotal by student to the right. I also have my totals per day down at bottom in default layout. but can i get those into this database somehow so they can track their progress by day inĀ report? how might one do that?
THank you in advance.
Student Name Day$ 1 Day$ 2 Day$ 3 Day$ 4 Day$ 5 Subt x Student Anne Blomsness $52.00 $1.00 $3.00 $9.00 $15.00 $80.00 Denise Desutter $5.00 $5.00 $10.00 $15.00 $25.00 $60.00 Gary Green $25.00 $25.00 $25.00 $30.00 $52.00 $157.00 Jim Peterson $15.00 $25.00 $25.00 $30.00 $35.00 $130.00 Karen Halvorsen $5,280.00 $1.00 $1.00 $1.00 $1.00 $5,284.00 Mike Challeen $20.00 $25.00 $30.00 $141.00 $1.00 $217.00 Richard Kittleson $15.00 $5.00 $25.00 $30.00 $100.00 $175.00 Robert Schneider $8.00 $8.00 $8.00 $89.00 $9.00 $122.00 February 14, 2024 at 3:28 PM #50487
BrendanKeymasterHi mm,
You can select the Calculation Field and Calculation Type on the Form inspector panel to have Tap Forms display a calculation of a field at the bottom of the Records list.
Then, if you click on the little menu button at the top-right of the records list view, you can enable the Show Group Summaries option. That’ll show you sub-totals per section.
Thanks,
Brendan

mm mayParticipantThank you. I have a Table field question now. I set up a table field linking to a different form.
I add a record and click the check box to copy fields, they come in but if I then go look at the linked form and then back to the form with the table on it, the record is gone.
I’m sure i am doing something wrong. Advice?
Also is it really linked or does it just copy the values over?
Thanks in advance.

BrendanKeymasterThe values are simply copied. So you can delete the original and it won’t affect the records you copied to the Table field. A Link to Form field however is truly linked, so if you delete the record that’s linked, it’s gone from wherever it’s referenced. Unless you simply unlink it.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the record being gone though. Which version of Tap Forms are you using?
