    Hi Brendan,

one thing I could not find out yet is: How can I use different forms with the same record-set? I would like to have different views on my Opera-Database. Different sort criteria e.g.

Or, how can I copy one record between different forms? This would help.

At the moment I always export the records from my basic form, clean all the others, and import. But this a little bit complicated and needs time.

    Any idea?

    Regards

    Klaus

    Hi Klaus,

You can’t use different forms within the same record-set and you can’t copy records from one form to another since by definition the different forms could have completely different structures.

But adding different views to the same form is something on my to-do list. Eventually I’d like to allow you to select which view you want displayed on the records list screen, including different sort and filter criteria.

    Thanks!

    Brendan

When this mechanism is in place (can’t wait for it), we can talk about graphical view(mindmapper).

Btw having XML import/export could help to populate one form with the data from the other…..
