TargettiParticipantIt would be great to have the option to forget the picklist which was first chosen to pick a value from. This would allow me to chose from different picklists for the same field each time i want to add a value. Example: I have different picklists of materials (paint, chemicals,…) and would like to have grouped picklist to chose from, but once you’ve chosen the picklist, it’s remembered and cannot be changed.

BrendanKeymasterHello Targetti,
If you edit the field and select the Pick List field option, you can tap on “Remove Pick List from field…” at the top.
I know it’s not grouping of pick lists for a single field, but it does let you remove or change the pick list for the field.
Thanks,
Brendan

TargettiParticipantBrendan,
Thank you for the quick reply. More convenient would be if there was a cross icon next to the picklist-button to reset a previous picklist. I know that’s a very complex proposition, but i hope you consider it for future updates?
Thanks in advance…

TargettiParticipantNow i have different fields for different category’s, but the problem is, when i’m exporting the database, no sub lists are exported.
Or any sugestions on how i can manage sorted lists to pick items from(from another database) are welcome too.
My goal is to make a database with clients and the used materials per project.
To make an inventory per projest, export it to my computer and make an invoice.

TargettiParticipantHi,
Any chance we will see this feature in the future?
December 18, 2011 at 8:27 PM #4987
BrendanKeymasterAre you referring to being able to change which pick list is associated with a field?
Since I have the toolbar above the keyboard now, it wouldn’t be too difficult to add a button there to remove the pick list from the field at that point.
Thanks,
Brendan

TargettiParticipantYes, but not in the edit mode of that field as you proposed earlier.
Thanks,

TargettiParticipantI see you’ve updated tapforms with that button above the toolbar, but i still can’t change to another picklist. Is it still possible to implement that?

TargettiParticipantAnd maybe it’s only nessesary with “text” fields and not with “number” fields because inexperienced users would chose a picklist in a “number” field.

TargettiParticipantThe IPad version isn’t provided with that feature yet? I hope you consider it for future updates.
Thanks,
