You probably know the maxim about defects regarded as features and v.v. In the latest Tap Forms HD version (even further improved) I managed to get a non-numeric value in a number field by picking it from a list. This is displayed as NaN unless the picked value starts with a number, which is then displayed. This is great for having pick lists like “1 low|2 medium|3 high”, so please don’t “fix”.
However, when trying to use such a value in a calculation, it’s interpreted as zero, which seems inconsistent and reduces the use of this feature. If you could please amend in the next version I could do math like risk class=probability*severity with probability and severity both having a pick list with values and explanatory texts. Along the same lines, I’d like to calculate with ratings.
Thanks, Olaf.
