In searching around the forum, I’ve learned that Tap Forms does not encrypt attachments, although will encrypt the actual data in the database using the key that you set.
I’m interested in using the app to go paperless, which would mean storing many scanned documents, many which have sensitive information (tax info, social security numbers, etc.).
Is it likely Tap Forms will ever support encryption of attachments and photos in the future, or is that completely out of the question?
I have purchased the app, by the way, and think it’s fantastic. I found it while looking for an alternative to FileMaker and am glad I did!
Hi Drew,
I suppose at some point I might add encryption to external files, but at the moment, it’s not on the priority list. There have been very few customers (if any, other than you) so far who have asked for this.
Thanks,
Brendan
Oh, well good to know it’s at least possibility. I’m surprised so few have asked for it.
I suppose we’ll see what the future brings.
Thanks,
Drew
