Lanny StevensParticipantNice app Brendan, finding it very, very useful.
Question, when emailing records (when I need sent as a zip) is there any way to select one record at a time to email them as a zip?
If not any thought for future versions?November 25, 2014 at 2:42 AM #11927
BrendanKeymasterHi Lanny,
If you have a search that will select a subset of records, when you use the Email Records function, Tap Forms will zip up just that subset of your records.
Thanks,
Brendan

Lanny StevensParticipantThank you Brendan, that will work very well.
I had overlooked the search function.November 27, 2014 at 9:05 AM #11981
Lanny StevensParticipantI have been using that method and works.
Ideally from the screen that has the records on it an option to email as a zip by choosing (tapping it) the record and then have option to email as a zip.
IE, tap on a record in example in attachment 1, then have option on attachment 2 to shoose to email as a zip rather than an HTML email.
Rather than having to search and narrow down result to a single record then email as a zip.
Reason I ask is my application the zip file is a must for where this info is to be used laterPossible in a future version?
Thanks for a great app.Attachments:

BrendanKeymasterHi Mike,
Tap Forms is using the font that you’re using to display for Note fields now. So you could adjust the font size of the Note field down so that it emails smaller. Also if you put any stylized text in your Note fields, Tap Forms will also display that in the email to the best of its ability.
Thanks,
Brendan

MikeWParticipantThanks Brendon
I have tried going into fonts – Note Font – no change
I then created a new test database with a note field – same thing
Did the same on my partners iphone – same thing
If I go into a database record created on 4S – tap to edit note – font is now tiny
Definitely has changed since upgrading tapforms & iphone 6
Hope you can help
Thanks, Mike

BrendanKeymasterHave you tried changing the font on the actual Note field content? Tap Forms is using Apple’s code now to convert the note field data into HTML in order to be able to generate the email. Perhaps it’s not doing a very good job at the font size conversion. But you could see if changing the font of the actual note field value (not just the global setting).

MikeWParticipantThanks Brendan
I did as you suggested & reduced the font to 11 and now email works okay however in the display for the record The font is quite small.
Maybe we require a patch in the future
Ps Love this app

Braulio BarcellosParticipant1) When I send a single record by email, the app generate a text mail.
2) When I send more than one record, the app generate a .csv attach.
I would like to known if a can send more than one records as a text mail, instead of .csvAttachments:

BrendanKeymasterHi Braulio,
There’s no function for generating an email with more than one record when sending the record details. At least not on the iOS version. There is on the Mac version though when you use the Print and then “Mail PDF” function.
Thanks,
Brendan
