I’ve imported 80 files to create that many FORMS. Figured out a lot, but still have questions. I started to work on the data in the forms and discover the information in the fields in the Default Layout can’t be edited except in the small squares in the columns table above the Layout.

How do I fix this problem?

    Fixed it.
In the FORMS tab under Calculation one was not on unspecified. When setting it up I guess I thought I had to pick something. When I set it back to “Unspecified” I could edit the fields in the record.
I don’t understand what this section is supposed to be used for.

I take that back. It just fixed it for a minute and when I went back it is still un-editable. What do I do to be able to edit in the layout?

Go to the Preferences window and turn OFF the Show Edit/Save button. With that option turned on, you need to click the Edit button at the bottom-right of the Default Layout. With it off, your’e always in record edit mode and you can just click inside a field.
