    Hi Brendon,

I’m working on a new project within our company to deploy a data collection system for our Project Analysts in the field. From the beginning of this project I thought the iPad was the ideal collection tool and it appears that Tap Forms HD may be the best app on the iPad to do this.

What would you suggest to be the best way to roll out mirror copies of the appropriate multiple databases and keep them up to date? Right now, I am piloting this project but I would imagine that we’ll have up to 40 people using this within the year.

Pick Lists will be a big factor here. I don’t see that you have an easy way to move this structure easily. You’ve mentioned that this might be something that could come in a future version – any idea when that might happen?

Keep up the great work – I’m really impressed with your app.

    Hello Wayne,

Right now the only way you can get a pick list over to another device is to either beam a record in a form which has a pick list attached to it, or to email the list of values and then use copy & paste to create a new pick list with the values in the clipboard.

I realize it’s not ideal though.

Another way to keep items in sync between devices is to email a CSV export of a form. Turn on the Record ID export on the Import & Export Settings screen before you do this. Then, Tap Forms will perform updates to the values on the other device during the import if it’s able to match up the record ids with records in the other device.

    Thanks,

    Brendan
