Mark BergerParticipantIs Tap Forms 5 compatible with macOS Big Sur and macOS Monterrey? Is it compatible with the M1 processor?

tonytParticipantYes, yes and yes, and Ventura too.

BrendanKeymasterTap Forms 5 is compiled for Intel, so it requires Rosetta 2 to be installed. The first time you launch any Intel application on an Apple Silicon device, you’ll be asked if you want to install Rosetta. Just let it do that. You won’t notice any speed difference. In fact, it’ll actually run faster on the M1 than on an Intel native machine.
Having said that, I am working on an Apple Silicon native version of Tap Forms which will be coming out when I’m done it.
Thanks!

Antonio VolponParticipantHello,
any update on having a native support for Mx processors without requiring Rosetta?
Many thanks,
Antonio

BrendanKeymasterHi Antonio,
I’m working on a new version of Tap Forms which is fully Apple Silicon native. Coming later this year.
Thanks,

BrendanKeymasterStill working on it. Almost done with the Mac version and also working on the next iOS version to be released simultaneously with the new Mac version. Sorry I don’t have much more to say about it than it’ll be worth the wait.

BrendanKeymasterHi Antonio,
I’m not ready for beta testing the iOS version yet. So just the Mac version.
Please email me at support@tapforms.com and if you’re willing to provide regular feedback, then I can let you in. I have a Slack channel where beta testers can post their feedback and communicate with me in near real-time (when I’m not mountain biking or sleeping :) ) about their issues with the beta.
@pinny any feedback on the beta yet? I haven’t heard from you since I gave you access. Thanks!
Brendan

Pinny BerlinParticipantHey Brendan,
Truth is that I use Tapforms mainly on iOS so I haven’t done much testing, as I have been waiting for the iOS Beta.
That said, I loaded one my main Documents into the Mac Beta version this morning, and I will use it exclusively going forward for the next couple weeks. I’ll update the Slack with my findings.
Best regards,
Pinny

BrendanKeymasterHi Pinny,
Ah excellent. Thanks for that. Looking forward to your feedback. I am working on the iOS version but want to finish up a few things on the Mac version still. And then have a few things left on the iOS version before testing can begin there.
Thanks,
Brendan
