StephenParticipantHi
thanks to recent advice I’ve managed to get a copy of a document transferred between MacBook Air & iPhone, I thought all was back to normal, but now I’m getting garbage populating in the Cloudant username field on the iPhone TF?! (It appears correctly set & logged in on the desktop version)
Whenever I attempt to enter the correct details the username field jumps to being full of repeated https:// text.
I believe I have requested the document to be deleted from iCloud… (I didn’t even know I’d requested it to go there – Is that a default action?) Anyways, does that now mean I’ve turned iCloud sync off?? – I see some references to that being required to use Cloudant sync. Again this is something that has always worked flawlessly for me previously, but it seems this year everything is going weird with my Tap Forms efforts!
Any advice to get my Cloudant sync settings entered correctly?
Many thanks, regards, Stephen.

BrendanKeymasterHi Stephen,
I’ve seen that happen from one other customer too where it’s putting http://http://http:// into the username field. I’m not sure what’s causing that.
Try closing the document, then re-opening it.
Then go back to the Cloudant screen and enter in your username again. There should be no http in it.
And then put your password in and tap the Sign In button.
When you went into the Sync Settings screen Tap Forms probably just took you to the first tab on that page. Tap the Cloud button instead of the iCloud button to configure the Cloudant settings.
Thanks,
Brendan

StephenParticipantHello Brendan,
Thanks for the reply. I have already attempted several times to delete the document on the iPhone and ‘resend’ it via iTunes file sharing. (I have also copied the document via send between iPhone & iPad & then successfully established Cloudant sync on the iPad) Therefore document in itself does not appear to be corrupt & Cloudant sync username/authentication is all correct, I just have this login issue in the iPhone instance of the software.
I have deleted the app from iPhone and reinstalled it, unfortunately I still have the same issue.Really appreciate your help here as I’m on a new project now and could really do with having everything in sync.
Many thanks, Stephen.

BrendanKeymasterHi Stephen,
Ok, I see this now. I have 1Password installed and I always just pick the username and password from there and it replaces the fields with the proper username and password. So that’s why I didn’t notice it.
I’m working on a fix for it and I’ll have to publish an update soon.
Thanks for reporting this bug.
Brendan

StephenParticipantHi Brendan,
Many thanks, pasting in the credentials appears to of worked as a temporary solution.
I have yet to attempt adding, or modifying records, but the Cloudant status has changed to logged in.
Many thanks, Stephen.
Even though I have experienced a couple of glitches recently, I thoroughly enjoy Tap Forms, I frequently recommend it to colleagues and appreciate your speedy and constructive replies on these forums. S.

BrendanKeymasterHi Stephen,
Excellent. I’m glad you found pasting works.
I have fixed this bug just today. So it’ll be in the next update.
I’m not going to add any new features to the next update. Just some bug fixes, so it won’t take too long for me to get the next update out.
Thanks,
Brendan
