Auto Attachment With New Records?

Hey There Brendan- Hope you’re having a nice summer.

Quick question: Is there a way clever way to have an “attachment” automatically added to new records within a form?

Ex: I’ve created a form. When I create a new record, there is a Word doc that is magically in this record somehow.

Hi Bill,

Not directly with the Attachment field type. But you could have a Website Address field store the URL to a file. However, Tap Forms won’t be able to open that attachment due to security constraints with sandboxed apps, but it will be able to tell the Finder to show you the file in the Finder. You can then double-click on it to open it.

Hey Brendan- Thanks for the quick reply. I didn’t think it was possible, but wanted to double check in the event you had a secret way. Not a big deal. I just need to remember to link the file (which gets harder to remember as I get older :D ).
