I have a document of 43 forms and every time I open the form, one of my forms is deleted. I tried restoring from a backup, but every time I open the file it’s still gone. When I check my backups that last version that it appears in, that backup file is a bigger file then the most recent backups that happen before I notice that one of my forms is gone.
I’m running Tap Forms Version 5.3.41 (Build 1053) on macOS 15.3.1 which is running on a Mac mini M2 Pro.
After doing some research I suspect my file is corrupt, but am hoping this is not the case. Any help is appreciated. (Apologies if this is the wrong form to post this in.)
Hi Bradley,
One issue could be that the form in question was deleted and synced to your selected sync service. Then when you restore, the sync causes that form to delete again because the deletion was synced and then re-applied after the restore.
If your document has become corrupted, the solution would be to first turn off sync, then restore from your backup file, then export your forms as a Tap Forms Archive (.tfarc) file.
Then make a new, empty document and import the Tap Forms Archive file into the new empty document.
That should solve the problem.
Thanks,
Brendan
