I was looking at a filter of my book database in the date view, and clicked in the side bar to change to a different filter – forgetting to change the view back to the standard records list first. The app crashed, and every time I try to open it since then it crashes on launch. I’ve attached the error text as a text file.
I’ve restarted my laptop and it still crashes on launch. I managed to force quit the app as it launched before it crashed to see if the built in “Don’t Reopen Windows” dialog would help, but it made no difference. Tap Forms will open in a different user (that is not logged into my iCloud account so only has the sample database), but obviously I’d really like it to work in my own log in.
Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for the crash report. It looks like it’s having some troubles with a Saved Search, possibly with the Calendar View displayed?
If you’d like to email me the document at support@tapforms.com I can look into it for you and probably fix it.
Thanks,
Brendan
Thanks for the quick response, Brendan. I’ve sent you the database, but in the meantime, I got the app to launch again! For future reference, this is how I did it:
In ~/Library/Containers/Tap Forms 5/Data/Library/Preferences I renamed com.tapzapp.tapforms-mac.plist which made the app open the document picker instead of the previous database.
Opening my database still caused the app to crash, so I repeated the above and opened a back-up of my database from earlier today instead and now it all works again, with no data loss due to iCloud sync!
