I built a not complex new database. That works great. But when I copy it to another device that database opens well but crashes when trying to open the ‘preferences’.
What can be wrong?
I tried it the other way around, so rebuilt the app on my 2nd device and copied to the 1st and that worked. Device 1 is an iMac with old OSX and device 2 a MacBook with recent OSX. Can that be the issue?
Hi Hans,
Which version of macOS do you have on each Mac? It may be that I inadvertently used a function that’s not available on older macOS versions without realizing it.
If you could email me the crash report that would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Brendan
Hi Brendan, I sent you the report by e-mail (support@tapforms.com).
But its just the other way around you guess… databases built on old OS don’t work on new OS.
Hope you can find the problem, but at the moment I have the workaround to start building on my MacBook.
I’m submitting the fix to Apple for this issue right now. I’ll release the direct download version shortly.
Thanks for reporting this.
Brendan
Great Brendan, the update was active this morning, thanks for your quick response and solution.
