cromag5ParticipantFirst off let me state that I am loving this app and the potential use I can get out of it. There is a slight learning curve but that’s normal for all new things. With that being said, there are some functions that I am not sure how they are supposed to work. Text fields being the main one. By following the tutorial I was under the impression that I would be able to enter text manually into a designated text field. When clicking on a form that has a text field I get the box that says Enter a Value. However I cannot enter any values. I then must click on the button below it that says pick list and it gives me a list of pre-created or manually created lists that I must choose from or create a new one. Is this normal? Am I not able to just type in the text into a text field without creating a picklist with the data I wanted to enter into the text field? or am I doing this totally wrong and should be using another field to manually enter text. Also I cannot get the server features or dropbox feature to work. Pressing the power button in the left corner results in nothing happening. So is there something wrong with my phone? or am I just not using the program right?

BrendanKeymasterHello Cromag5,
Yes, you can enter text manually into a designated field. Normally when you tap on a Text field, the keyboard slides up and you can then enter in your text into the field area. I’m not quite sure why this isn’t happening for you. Did you try tapping into the field to bring up the keyboard? You don’t have to create pick lists just to get values into a text field.
The power button on the bottom-left just turns on the web server. You should see a web address displayed beside the power button. Do you not see that? If so, then you have to then go to your web browser on your computer and enter in that address into the address field. Then you’ll be presented with the Files area. If you want anything to be visible to Tap Forms, click on the Share folder in your web browser and then upload your files there.
As for Dropbox support, just tapping on the Dropbox icon at the bottom right of the Files tab will bring up the Dropbox login screen. You either need to create a Dropbox account or enter in your Dropbox email and password.
Thanks,
Brendan

cromag5ParticipantThanks Brendan for your reply. When I tap on the Text field nothing happens. When I double tap…nothing happens. When I pound the screen with my fist…it cracks. j/k. Which is the same issue I’m having with the power button for webserver and dropbox which for I do have an account. I’ve removed the app and reinstalled it. Still same issue. IDK…maybe my life wasn’t meant to be made easier!
