Thinking of purchasing TF (looks very interesting). Is there an API or way to call TAP Forms passing a lookup (or a new entry) string from another APP?

I haven’t implemented a url processing scheme yet, but you can at least launch Tap Forms from another app by calling tapforms:// in the URL. But I haven’t added anything to process the parameters passed in.
So you’re thinking you’d like it to do a global search if a parameter was passed in? Doesn’t sound too difficult to add.

Not just a search, but also an add to an existing TF category. I would like to use a barcode APP (Red Laser) to scan items both to lookup and to enter.

Does Red Laser have the ability to call out to other programs? Where does it get its data from? Or does it just simply provide a UPC code? I looked into using Red Laser’s developer kit APIs, but they wanted too much money upfront and lots of on-going royalties from developers every time something is scanned.
