    Hi Brendan,

    I noticed that on iOS, databases can have custom emoji’s that replace the default Tap Forms ‘pencil and ruler’ icon; however when syncing or working with databases on macOS the custom images do not translate over to the welcome screen/database documents area. They remain the default style.

    Will this feature be added to future builds or is it a cross-platform translation limitation between iOS to macOS?

    Cheers,
    Robert.

    Hi Robert,

    It’s an issue in that the actual document that you have on each device is not actually synced. It’s only the database within the document that is synced. The Emoji character is stored in a separate file within the .tapforms document bundle. So it doesn’t get sync. On the Mac version though if you display the Document Info slide-out panel, you can drag an icon there so you can have a custom icon. It also doesn’t get synced across to iOS for the same reason. Well, actually that reason is because it uses a facility for changing a document icon which is unique to OS X and doesn’t exist on iOS.

    Thanks Brendan. I found this resource to integrate it manually myself;

    The emoji PNG files seem to work well.

    Could the SVG files actually be integrated into Tap Forms for Mac in future? Their licensing seems open for potential integration;
