I have created a database with 337 records. I wish that I could change one of these from simple text to a list of choices, so that I could check one without entering text each time. The field would have 18-20 choices (they would indicate a book’s subject, like “Fiction” or “Photography,” etc.). Is this possible without starting over? —JB

    Hi John,

Certainly. You don’t need to change field types actually because a Text field can have a Pick List attached to it. What you want to do is use the Edit Pick Lists command, create your Pick List with all your choices, then attach that Pick List to the field by editing the field properties and choosing which Pick List you would like to associate with it.

I’ve left the instructions a bit generic since I don’t know which version you’re referring to. iOS or Mac.

    Thanks

This was very helpful on my Mac-based Tap Forms app, and my iPhone app, too. Thank you so much. Makes good sense, and it’s such a nice step from Bento.
