Linda QuinnParticipantI updated to iOS 8.1 & Yosemite and have iCloud Drive turned on — both on the Mac & iPad. I just imported a Bento template on the Mac and then tried to sync to get it on my iPad. Did not work. So I figured I would try to reset the iCloud sync on my devices. The Mac recognized both devices, but the iPad is only showing itself and not the Mac, and I am not having any luck syncing. Any suggestions?

BrendanKeymasterHello Linda,
I would suggest logging out of iCloud and logging back in. Use the “Sign Off” button in the iCloud System Preferences on Mac and the iCloud Settings in the Settings app on iOS 8.
Also please see this thread post where we’re discussing this:
Thanks,

Linda QuinnParticipantBrendan –
Thanks for getting back to me. As usual you are on top of things. So I turned iCloud on and off on the Mac & iPad — did it about three hours ago and it is still working on repopulating all of my iCloud data. I am still not getting my devices to recognize each other, and I thought it might have something to do with the the Encryption Key that it says is needed. Only mine says, on both devices, Change Encryption Key — although I am sure I never set one. I followed you instructions and opened my Keychain Access and searched for Taprooms. The only thing listed is my web password — no application password. I am at a loss — and more than a bit frustrated.
Thanks.Linda

BrendanKeymasterHello Linda,
You need to search for “Tap Forms” with a space between the words and no quotes. I’ve seen a lot of people call it “Taprooms” in the past couple of days. I’m not sure what’s causing that. Maybe some strange auto-correct thing. Either that or group mind control by some invading alien force :-)
Also, if iCloud is still syncing your files, then I would wait some more. The list of Registered Devices will eventually update once iCloud has managed to sync the TFSyncDevice files that Tap Forms generates.
Setting the encryption key is necessary for the sync process to function properly after you’ve uploaded to iCloud, but it has nothing to do with seeing the devices listed in the list of Registered Devices.
Thanks!
Brendan
