    Hey guys,

This may be a very 101 question, and if so I apologize.

I just imported a .csv file with over 29,000 records (my recently digitized music collection). Everything uploaded and processed quickly.

However, anytime I open a record that begins with a number or a character (say “3 Doors Down” or “? And The Mysterians”) the information is for another record (even though, on the main view it’s correct).

Everything from A-Z works fine however. Could this be an issue with my .csv file or something that I would have to manually correct within TapForms?

I hope someone can help me with this one. Thanks!

    Hi Brian,

That’s a big file. How long did it take to import? And on what kind of device?

You could try setting the First Sort Field to something else and then switching it back to what you really want it to be. If you’re on the Mac version you’ll need to click the Done button after you change the sort order and then edit the form again and change it back.

You can also try running the Rebuild Search Index command from the Database Maintenance screen.

    Thanks!

    Hey Brendan,

It took about 30 minutes to load to my iPhone (importing via DropBox). It works flawlessly otherwise, albeit slightly slow (most likely due to the size). I may try to break it into a few smaller databases and see if that’ll speed things along.

I think your trick worked BTW — thank you for that!!
