Diary of an App Store Reviewer

Today I read an amusing article on Daring Fireball that describes the thoughts and processes of an App Store reviewer. I'm sure it's fictitious, but it sure hits home for a lot of iPhone developers, including myself. I really feel like this is what's happening to my app. Note the bit about the use of Apple's icons and images. That's the exact message I received a week ago or so. This despite the fact that Tap Forms 1.6 contains those exact icons.

Diary of an App Store Reviewer

This is what I see as of today (May 30, 2009) when I check on the status of my 1.7 update:

Tap Forms 1.7 Review Status

The date says September 16, 2008. That's because that was the first time I ever uploaded my app to Apple. The date always stays the same. Not sure why they don't update it with the last date the app was updated.

Oh, and yes I have Tap Forms 1.6 on sale for $4.99 USD until 1.7 is released. So if you were thinking of buying it, but you're not sure, this would be a good time to pick it up for a great price.
